Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Site Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of construction sites for residential home renovation projects. The Site Supervisor will be responsible for managing on-site activities, ensuring safety and quality standards, supervising workers, and coordinating with subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. This role requires strong leadership abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to effectively manage teams and ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities on the construction site, ensuring work is completed according to the project plan, timeline, and budget.
- Manage and oversee the performance of construction crews, subcontractors, and other workers on-site.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, local building codes, and project specifications.
- Monitor the quality of construction work to ensure it meets company and client standards.
- Review and enforce health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Maintain an organized and clean construction site, ensuring tools, materials, and equipment are stored properly.
- Report daily progress and any issues to the project manager and provide recommendations for problem resolution.
- Coordinate the delivery and storage of materials and ensure that all necessary supplies are available on-site when needed.
- Assist in the scheduling of inspections, permits, and approvals for the completion of the project.
- Resolve on-site issues or conflicts promptly to avoid delays and ensure smooth workflow.
- Ensure proper documentation of project progress, delays, changes, and any incident reports.
- Provide leadership and guidance to construction teams, promoting positive work culture and effective teamwork.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a site supervisor or construction manager in residential or commercial construction.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and technical documents.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and quick decision-making skills.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ability to ensure the site is compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- A degree or certification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to different construction sites.
