Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Renovation Technician to join our team and assist with hands-on renovation work on residential properties. The Renovation Technician will play a crucial role in executing various tasks involved in home renovations, from demolition to installation of new fixtures and finishes. This position requires a mix of technical expertise, attention to detail, and an ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform demolition, installation, and construction tasks on home renovation projects, including drywall, flooring, cabinetry, and structural work.
- Assist in preparing the site for renovation by setting up tools, equipment, and materials.
- Install or replace windows, doors, flooring, trim, and other home elements based on design specifications.
- Conduct minor plumbing, electrical, or HVAC work as needed, under the guidance of specialists.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment by following safety guidelines and regulations.
- Work closely with the project manager to ensure tasks are completed according to schedule and specifications.
- Assist in the installation of custom carpentry, cabinetry, and other architectural elements.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards, with attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Report any issues, delays, or concerns to the project manager in a timely manner.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a renovation technician, carpenter, or in a similar role within the home renovation industry.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of renovation tasks, from demolition to installation.
- Familiarity with basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, design plans, and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in construction or renovation is preferred.
