Renovation Technician

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Renovation Technician to join our team and assist with hands-on renovation work on residential properties. The Renovation Technician will play a crucial role in executing various tasks involved in home renovations, from demolition to installation of new fixtures and finishes. This position requires a mix of technical expertise, attention to detail, and an ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform demolition, installation, and construction tasks on home renovation projects, including drywall, flooring, cabinetry, and structural work.
  • Assist in preparing the site for renovation by setting up tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Install or replace windows, doors, flooring, trim, and other home elements based on design specifications.
  • Conduct minor plumbing, electrical, or HVAC work as needed, under the guidance of specialists.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment by following safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Work closely with the project manager to ensure tasks are completed according to schedule and specifications.
  • Assist in the installation of custom carpentry, cabinetry, and other architectural elements.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards, with attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Report any issues, delays, or concerns to the project manager in a timely manner.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a renovation technician, carpenter, or in a similar role within the home renovation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of renovation tasks, from demolition to installation.
  • Familiarity with basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, design plans, and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in construction or renovation is preferred.
