Job Description:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our team, working on a variety of residential home renovation projects. As an Interior Designer, you will collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to create functional, aesthetic, and personalized interior spaces. You will be responsible for transforming client visions into reality by selecting furnishings, color schemes, layouts, lighting, and decor while ensuring that designs reflect both style and practicality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with clients to understand their vision, needs, and budget for renovation projects.
- Develop design concepts, mood boards, and floor plans for residential interiors.
- Select appropriate furniture, materials, color palettes, lighting, and finishes that align with the project’s aesthetic and functional requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless execution of designs.
- Oversee the installation of design elements and furnishings to ensure they align with the original design vision.
- Stay up to date with interior design trends, new products, and materials.
- Provide advice on space optimization, materials, and layouts.
- Create and present design proposals to clients and make adjustments based on their feedback.
- Ensure all designs comply with building codes, safety standards, and client specifications.
- Maintain design project timelines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an interior designer, preferably in residential renovations.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar).
- Strong understanding of design principles, space planning, and color theory.
- Exceptional creativity with the ability to provide innovative design solutions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines and budgets.
- A degree in Interior Design or a related field is required.
- Certification in interior design (e.g., NCIDQ) is a plus.
