Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations on residential home renovation projects. As a Site Supervisor, you will manage the construction site, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. You will supervise construction crews, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure that safety and building codes are strictly adhered to.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct daily operations on construction sites, ensuring work follows project timelines and specifications.
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of construction workers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes.
- Manage site logistics, including ordering materials, managing deliveries, and maintaining equipment.
- Track project progress and report any issues or delays to the project manager.
- Ensure all necessary permits and inspections are in place and completed as required.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement safety protocols on-site.
- Provide leadership and resolve conflicts or issues that may arise during construction.
- Ensure quality control throughout the renovation process to meet client expectations.
- Maintain accurate project records, including progress reports and site notes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a construction supervisor, site manager, or similar role in residential or commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and technical documents.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Construction Management certification (e.g., PMP or equivalent) is a plus.
