Job Description:
We are looking for a talented Architectural Drafter to join our team and assist in creating detailed technical drawings for residential home renovation projects. In this role, you will work closely with architects and designers to produce accurate, detailed, and precise drafting documents that will guide construction teams. Your work will be instrumental in transforming concepts into reality while ensuring compliance with building codes and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, and blueprints for residential renovation projects.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and contractors to refine design concepts and translate them into technical drawings.
- Ensure drawings are compliant with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Revise and update existing plans based on feedback from clients, engineers, and project managers.
- Create 3D models, renderings, and presentations to assist in design approval and visualization.
- Coordinate with the construction team to address any design-related issues during the building phase.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of drafts and revisions.
- Stay up to date with new drafting technologies, software, and industry trends.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an architectural drafter or in a similar drafting/design role, preferably in residential projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other architectural design software.
- Strong understanding of building codes, materials, and construction methods.
- Attention to detail and precision in drawing and documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interpret and implement feedback.
- A degree or diploma in Architectural Drafting, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
